THE deadline for Northern Ireland’s towns, villages and housing areas to enter the 2014 Best Kept Awards is looming, with less than two weeks to go to register.
The official closing date is 26th April, and entry forms can be found at www.niacbestkept.com or by ringing the competition organisers, the Northern Ireland Amenity Council, on 028 9040 3681.
Doreen Muskett MBE, Chair of the Amenity Council said: “The towns, villages and housing areas category is perhaps the most hotly contested.
“We’ve received a good number of entries thus far from all parts of the country, but would like to encourage as many entrants as possible to ensure that the eventual winners are well and truly Northern Ireland’s prettiest, neatest and most environmentally friendly areas.
“Last year’s Best Kept winners are no doubt hoping to hang on to the coveted title, but there will no doubt be some stiff competition. It’ll be a difficult task for the judges to make a decision, we are lucky that Northern Ireland is home to so many beautiful spots,” she added.
The closing date for the Best Kept health and social care facilities is 23rd May.
Winners will be awarded attractive signage, trophies and a monetary gift.
