Libraries to celebrate Creativity Month

LIBRARIES NI is delighted to announce a programme of free events to celebrate Creativity Month in libraries during the month of March with Coleraine and Portrush taking part!

The theme of Creativity Month is “creative connections” to inspire new ideas, new collaborations and a new economy. Libraries across Northern Ireland will be holding events and initiatives to support this initiative, which has been devised by the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure.

Coleraine and Portrush Libraries will stage three events.

The first is the play “Titanic Voices” by Wireless Mystery Theatre in Coleraine Library on Sunday, March 25 at 2.30pm. Booking is advisable for this play. Contact Coleraine Library on (028) 7034 2561 for further information or coleraine.library@librariesni.org.uk

Portrush Library is the venue for the next two events.

There will be a Manga Workshop for Teenagers on Friday, March 23 from 3 to 4pm. Contact Portrush Library on (028) 7082 3752 for more information.

Then on Saturday, March 31, there will be a puppet-making workshop from 11.30am to 12 noon. This event will involve making spoons puppets and putting on a show.
