THE Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland has condemned the latest attack on the home of Coleraine District Master, George Duddy.

Graffiti was daubed on an exterior wall at the Orangeman’s home last night (Thursday)

Mr Duddy, who is also a Coleraine councillor was subjected to a similar incident last month when vandals removed a flag from the property.

The incident happened in the Drumaquill Road area of the town sometime between 10.20pm and 10.40pm last night.

A police spokesman said they were treating the incident as a ‘hate crime’ and appealed for information.

Speaking to The Times this morning, councillor Duddy said:” This attack will not deflect me from representing my constituents nor will it take me away from my membership of the Orange Institution.”

For full story and reaction see Tuesday’s Coleraine Times.
