Police appeal after Railway Road accident

A 33 year old male was arrested for dangerous driving following a one vehicle road traffic incident at the Railway Road, Coleraine area yesterday (Thursday).

Shortly before 2:10pm, it was reported that a pedestrian and a car were involved in the incident.

It is believed that a man in his 80’s was taken to hospital for treatment to head injuries. His condition is described as stable.

The road re-opened later in the evening.

The male was subsequently released on police street bail pending further enquiries.

Police would appeal to anyone who was in the Railway Road, Coleraine area yesterday who witnessed the incident to contact Coleraine Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
