Age Concern newsletter hits borough

COLERAINE Mayor, councillor Sandy Gilkinson, received the first copy of Age Concern Coleraine's new newsletter from chairperson Liz Lee last week.

The newsletter reports on the significant range of activities provided by Age Concern Coleraine. Next year the organisation will be moving to new premises in Coleraine town centre with much enhanced shop and office provision.

This newsletter will help to raise funds for this upgrade as well as stimulating interest in what's going on, and how Age Concern can help the over-fifties in the Causeway area.

As well as going free to members and sponsors, the publication will be available in places like local churches and health centres.

An Age Concern spokesperson said: "More information means more satisfactory service to more people and - we hope - more sponsorship coming in so that Age Concern can continue to do a tremendous job.

"Copies are available in the Nearly New Shop in Waterside so, why not visit the shop, pick up a copy and see how we can help you - or maybe you can help us."
