Countdown begins for annual RNLI Duck Dive

THE 2010 Portstewart Duck Dive was launched last Sunday as Robin Cardwell of the RNLI was presented with a cheque for £4,794 which was raised at last year's event.

The presentation took place at Shenanigans in Portstewart where the Duck Dive prize-giving ceremony has been held for the last number of years.

Since 2005 the St Patrick's Day Duck Dive has raised 23,255 for the RNLI Portrush.

The Duck Dive organising committee - Phil Deaney, Henry McKinney and Richard Briggs - has confirmed that this year's Duck Dive will take place on St Patrick's Day at 1pm at the Herring Pond, Portstewart.

All proceeds go to the Portrush Lifeboat and prizes kindly donated by the town's business folk are presented for the best outfit within the convivial environment of Shenanigan's. Give it a go and support your local Lifeboat.
