Counterfeit money warning

POLICE in Coleraine are appealing for traders and members of the public to be wary of counterfeit notes after a number of reports of fake notes were found circulating in the town centre.

A PSNI spokespersn said: “We would advise shops and other businesses that handle currency to check all notes and contact police if they suspect they have come into possession of any counterfeit currency.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
