Counterfeit notes

POLICE in Coleraine are appealing for traders and members of the public to be wary of counterfeit notes after a number of fake notes were found circulating in the town.

The PSNI state that shops and other businesses that handle currency should check all notes and contact Police if they suspect they have come into possession of any counterfeit currency.

Police would ask anyone who may have any information about counterfeit notes to contact them at Coleraine on 0845 600 8000 or on Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
