LADIES FOOTBALL: Away draw for Coleraine

COLERAINE Ladies have been drawn away to Banbridge in the next round of the Coca Cola Irish FA Cup.

The girls were due to play Glenavon last Monday night in the second round of the competition, but Glenvaon were unable to field a team, so Coleraine claimed the three points.

The draw for the next rounds of the competition wasmade last week, and Coleraine drew Banbridge, the game will be played on Monday, June 29 in Banbridge.

The final of the competition is set to be staged at Coleraine Showgrounds later this summer.

If the girls can overcome Banbridge, they face a tough test against Glentoran Belfast Unitedor Northland Raiders.

Meanwhile the draw for the Coca Cola Championship Cup was also made last week.

Coleraine have been handed a home tie against Cliftonville.

The girls travel to the Mid Ulster Stadium this week, when they will take on Fermanagh Mallards in the league, and Coleraine Player/Manger, Alison Nicholl is expecting a tough tie.

"We've yet to meet Fermanagh Mallards in the league, so I don't really know much about them.

"They have a few players that I know from the International set up, but all games are tough in this league, and we'll just have to go and do our best."
