Mwamba Choir continue tour of the Borough

A CHILDREN'S choir from Uganda are continuing their tour of the Triangle area.

The Mwamba Rock Children's Choir have been performing in local schools, churches and homes for the elderly, and have been very well recevied.

During their stay the children have been enjoying some traditional Northern Irish food and many have taken to our porridge.

Free time has been built into the busy itinerary, and the young people have enjoyed trips along the River, thanks to Ski Supreme. They also enjoyed a wonderful reception at the mayor's parlour, and received mementos which will remind them of the borough.

The organisers of the tour would like to extend sincere thanks to many people who have been helping behind the scenes with the provision of meals and groceries, laundering of clothes and uniforms, transporting of the children, entertaining them on their leisure days and many other useful services.

If you still haven't managed to catch up with the Choir as yet, there are still many opportunities to do so.

Over the next week, the choir will be performing at the following locations:

Friday, October 30 - Castlerock Parish Church Hall (7.30)

Sunday, November 1 - Second Dunboe Presbyterian Church (11.30)

Wednesday, November 4 - Seventh Day Adventists Church, (7.30)

Sunday, November 8 - Ballysally Presbyterian Church (11.00)

Wednesday, November 11 - Coleraine Independent Methodist Church (7.30)
