N-ice one Brian

A WELL known local man was mixing with the stars at the weekend.

Brian Moore is best known for his role as DJ and events manager at Portrush nightclub Traks, but at the weekend Brian took on a top role at Belfast's Odyessy Arena.

The Portstewart man was the warm up act for the sell out 'Dancing on Ice' show at Sunday night's show.

Of course Brian is no stranger to the big events. He compered the Mayor's show in Coleraine on Saturday, and down through the years, he's been the man on the mic at various events - event at The Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena!

The Belfast ice show ran just like the television show, with the audience texting to vote for the couple who would dance Torvell and Dean's famous Bolero.

Brian explained: " I got a call last week to see if I would be the warm up act, and I couldn't believe it. The guy who has been travelling around the arenas with the show couldn't make the Sunday night show, so they asked me.

"My role was to go on first and warm up the crowd, it was a challenge but the crowd were great.

"The show actually started with Torvill and Dean dancing Bolero. It was fantastic to see the Olympic stars dancing, and the show just got better as it went on."

During the show, Brian met Andy Peters who hosted the show and stars of the show - Zoe Salmon, Ray Quinn, Todd Carty, Suzanne Shaw, Melinda Messenger, Roxanne Pallet , Jessica Taylor and Kyran Bracken.

"Ray Quinn was a big favourite with the ladies on both nights of the show.

"Todd Carty is a great guy and he's great fun.

"The judging panel from the television show were also there Nicky Slater, Karen Barber and Jason Gardiner. It was a great experience and whilst nervous I loved every minute of it."
