Reserves stars go on loan

FOUR regular Coleraine Reserves stars have left the Showgrounds on loan.

Lee Forgrave, Owen Moody and Kevin O'Neill have signed for Tobermore, while James Peden joins his brother Owen at Portstewart.

Tobermore won 5-1 on Saturday, beating Annagh United, and two of the Coleraine lads got their names on the scoresheet.

Kevin O'Neill grabbed two, while Owen Moody started off his loan spell in fine form with a goal.

Tobermore boss, Johnny Law, was full of praise for the boys: "The three lads made impressive debuts. Lee set up Kevin for his first goal, Owen got the second and Kevin got the third from a penalty.

"I was very happy impressed with the boys, hopefully they can help us win our two cup finals and help us progress up the league table."

Reserves boss added: "The boys wanted to go out on loan, and it's good for them to experience football at a higher level. They will learn so much from playing in this league, and I have no doubt that it'll toughen them up and make them better players."

The exit of the players now means Aaron can look at the Colts and Academy squads: "We are now left with a very young Reserve team, but we have eight games left in the league, and it'll give me a chance to look down the ranks and see who can make the step up."
