Winter Woolie Walk!

UTV personality Tina Campbell is urging Coleraine Times readers to wrap up warm and join in the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children's annual 'Winter Woolie Walk'.

The walk will take place on Saturday, February 27 at Portstewart Strand. The walk starts at 10am and will be four miles long.

Refreshments will be provided for walkers at the end of the walk.

The registration fee is 5, children go free.

Tina said: “The ‘Winter Woolie Walks’ are the perfect opportunity to spend time with family and friends in the great outdoors, inspiring us to keep our New Year resolutions, whilst raising money to support local children and their families.”

Each week in Northern Ireland two children are diagnosed with cancer.

All funds raised from the ‘Winter Woolie Walk’ will be in spent in Northern Ireland, helping young people diagnosed with cancer and their families. Vital services include qualified youth and family support, residential and social weekends for children, grants to ease the financial burden of looking after a sick child, as well as the provision of holidays for the whole family in Newcastle and Coleraine.
