Young artists Leo and Filip have the X Factor

TWO pupils at St Malachy's Primary School certainly have the X-Factor when it comes to Art.

Primary 3 youngsters Leo and Filip having been turning heads at the school.

For principal, Tony Fisher told the Times that in all his days in teaching, he's never seen such artistic talent.

"They really have an amazing talent," said Mr Fisher.

"Their drawings tell a story - the boys never sketch out their artwork, they have the confidence to get stuck in straight away.

"Everyone has been talking about them, and there's no doubt we'll be keeping some of their work until they are older, in case they make it big!"

The pair have a wonderful imagination and showed The Times their underwater sketches, which included Great White Sharks and Frilled Sharks.

Leo told The Times that he enjoys drawing animals like dinosaurs, birds and sharks, while Filip, who was born in Poland, enjoys using colour in his creations, and likes drawing dragons and crocodiles.

Who knows, in years to come their artwork could be hanging in some of the world's most famous galleries. Watch this space...
