COSTA Coffee will open a new store at the Riverside Retail Park in Coleraine this Friday with the creation of 15 new jobs.

The 2000 sq.ft. unit will have indoor and outdoor seating for up to 100 people.

Along with expertly handcrafted coffee drinks, the store will offer a full range of cold drinks and a selection of delicious sandwiches, cakes and pastries as well as free WIFI internet access.

With its comfortable, modern and stylish décor, the Coleraine store will be ideal for catching up with friends, informal business meetings or simply to relax with your favourite coffee and a good book.

Kerry Ali, Area Manager for Costa Northern Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to be opening a new Costa Coffee in Coleraine.

We believe Costa will complement the existing retail offering in this thriving retail park.

She added “We have invested over £275,000 into making this a great place not only for people to grab a coffee on the go, but also to relax and enjoy a leisurely drink and chat.”

Costa Coffee was founded by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa in London in 1971. From this small family beginning, Costa Coffee is now known all over the world for the quality and taste of their trademark Mocha Italia blend.

For the past 41 years, Costa have been slow-roasting their own coffee beans. Just 1% of the world’s production of coffee is good enough for Costa to choose from.

Costa’s attention to detail even extends to the training of their coffee experts, or “Baristas” as they are known, who make and serve the coffee for you.

Costa Coffee, through the franchise partnership with MBCC Foods Ireland Ltd, opened their first store in Northern Ireland in 2004 at Belfast City Airport. There are now 18 Costas in the Province employing over 200 people.
