New modern look for the Portstewart PO

PORTSTEWART Post Office at the Promenade is to be refurbished to create a modern environment for customers as well as providing increased opening hours.

As part of the improvements, the branch will now have three serving positions. These will be a mixture of two traditional screened counter positions and a Post Office serving point at the retail counter .

To enable work to take place the branch will be closed from Friday, August 16. The new-look Post Office will open on Tuesday, August 27 at 1pm.

During the refurbishment alternative Post Offices in the area include: Larkhill Post Office and Coleraine Post Office, New Row, Coleraine.

Post Office Regional Network Manager, Sheila McCann, said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to customers of Portstewart Post Office and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”

The new opening hours will be Monday to Saturday: 9am to 5.30pm increasing opening by five hours a week with branch remaining open on Saturday afternoons.
