NORTHERN Regional College is embarking on a series of events across its campuses to promote and create a culture with the health and well-being of the workforce at the heart of its planned activities.

Barbara Laverty, NRC’s Head of Human Resources and Equality explains “As part of this initiative we surveyed our staff to see what they felt was important to their Health and Well-being and we’ve listened to the feedback.

“Employees are an organisations most valuable asset and healthy and fit employees are essential to ensuring an organisation is successful”.

Tailored events are being run at each campus with motivational talks from Olympic Medal Winner, Maeve Kyle, Janet Gray, MBE World Champion Blind Water Skier, Laughter workshops, Zumba, Yoga and Salsa classes.

Other activities being offered include blood pressure checks, cancer focus skin tests and hearing loss tests.

Many local health and fitness organisations will also be participating and providing important information to staff on a variety of health topics.
