Police in Coleraine have arrested two men and recovered cannabis plants valued at around £3,500 following a search in the Mount Street on Tuesday afternoon.

Inspector Tony Boyce said: “The men, aged 25 and 40 were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis, possession of a class B drug and possession with intent to supply.

“They have been released on police bail as the investigation continues.

“The most effective way to reduce the harm caused by drugs is for police and communities to work together.

“If anyone has concerns about drug cultivation, misuse or supply in their area, please contact police on the non-emergency number 101. You can also contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
