The Ulster Barbarians club was established in April 2013 in association with Irish Wheelchair Rugby and is the only wheelchair rugby club in Northern Ireland. The club has presently 30 members both junior and senior who travel from all counties in Ulster to training in the the Antrim forum on Monday nights.

Paul would like to thank everyone who has supported this fundraiser so far by sponsoring races and horses and donating raffle and auction prizes. To date the items for auction include a signed Carl Frampton boxing glove, a signed Ulster rugby team shirt, a signed Ulster rugby ball and a painting. Entry is free and after the races there will be dancing to live music from ever popular band Altagore.

This promises to be a great fun evening with many club members and their families travelling to Ballycastle for the event. Please come along and meet the team, get a look at their rugby wheelchairs and even have a go in one of them.

All welcome and anyone unable to attend can make a donation the just giving:

* The club has grown from year to year. We now have both senior and junior members and the teams take part in the Irish League and compete in tournaments in UK and Europe.

They train every Monday night from 7pm - 9pm in Antrim Forum. All proceeds raised at this event will go towards running the club, buying new rugby chairs and assisting us to travel.
