Christine Hankin, RDA’s chairperson, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincerest thanks to all of our volunteers, without them we could not achieve the amount that we do.”
Stephanie Grundon, from Causeway Volunteer Centre, added: “It is a great pleasure to attend ‘thank-you’ events like these as it allows Causeway Volunteer Centre the opportunity to meet many volunteers involved in the project and to hear the great sense of achievement that they all get out of their voluntary work”.
Certificates were presented to the volunteers with a special mention given to Sam Graham and his massive commitment to RDA with more than 15 years of dedication.
Another special mention was given to Harry, one of RDA’s longest serving horses. He took centre stage and was presented with a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.
