Rev Lesley Carroll, minister of Fortwilliam and Macrorry Memorial Presbyterian churches in Belfast, currently clerk of North Belfast Presbytery, and currently a member of the Equality Commission to name but a few of her many responsibilities, took time out from her busy life to speak to the Causeway Coast Peace Group at their November meeting.

Eleanor Duff, chairperson of the group, welcomed all present at an excellent turnout of members and friends in St. Patrick’s Church Hall, Portrush.

Rev Ann Irvine led those present a short act of worship and after some business matters Rev Carroll addressed the group talking of some of the challenges and difficulties facing churches in this ever-changing part of Belfast.

Peace Group members and friends found the meeting inspirational and challenging with lots of food for thought.

Tea was served and all present received a piece of a celebration cake presented by the Group to Carol Anderson on achieving the BEM in the Queen’s Honours for her work in peace and reconciliation.

Christmas dinner in the Causeway Hotel on 1st December. Contact members to book a place.
