Do you have what it takes to climb eight foot walls, crawl under netting and barbed wire and run up to 10k through mud?
These are just a few of the requirements for the competitors taking part in the Run Mucker Run Challenge on September 26, to raise vital funds Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.
Run Mucker Run is part of a growing trend for obstacle course racing across the country, the event on 26th September 2015 will be the third of its kind to be organised by Run Mucker Run on Kirk Road on the outskirts of Ballymoney after the last event in April being very successful with over 600 ‘muckers’.
This event is open to anyone over the age of 18 and involves a lap or two of a specially designed 5K course, complete with around 30 manmade and natural obstacles.
Melvin Dewart the event organiser says “It will be a gruelling test of strength, stamina and mental determination, the idea is to encourage team-work and camaraderie among participants.
“We have chosen Cancer Focus Northern Ireland as our nominated charity this year as it is a local charity and cancer has affected every family in some way or another.”
