Saturday, April 19, 2014, is a date that little Sara Gibson will remember for a long time.
For the little Kilrea Primary School pupil got her hair cut for the very first time.
The six year old is being sponsored by friends and family with proceeds going to the ‘Little Princess Trust’ a charity that makes wigs for children who are undergoing cancer treatment.
Last week, Sara’s school pals held a special fundraising day - a ‘Wacky Hair Day’ to boost her fundraising pot.
Sara’s granny, Mary explained: “Sara has never had her hair cut.
“When she went to the hairdressers six months ago to get it cut, her hairdresser suggested that she should get sponsored for the charity.
“So Sara decided to wait and let her hair grow a little bit more before the big occasion.”
