DO you know a Coleraine lady who could be the next “Woman of the Year”?

The countdown is on to nominate a leading lady in your life for the Woman of the Year Awards in association with Dixons of Coleraine to be held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel on Thursday, December 8, organised by The Belfast Telegraph.

Launching the awards, Janet Barr and Barbara Hill, directors of Dixons of Coleraine, said: “We look forward to celebrating a very special night with our winners on Thursday, December 8.

“Our job, in Dixons, is to make women feel good about themselves, and giving them a positive style experience. So we would encourage anyone who knows a woman they feel has excelled in their field to nominate them for one of these fantastic awards.”

There are nine categories in which you can nominate the woman of your choice, including Business Woman of the Year sponsored by Translink, Woman of the Year in the Voluntary Sector sponsored by Irish League of Credit Unions, Woman of the Year in Fashion sponsored by Menarys, Sportswoman of the Year, Woman of the Year in the Arts sponsored by Belleek Living, Woman of the Year in Education sponsored by Queen’s University, Inspirational Woman of the Year, Woman of the Year in Health sponsored by NeoStrata and Mum of the Year sponsored by Irwin’s.

Nominees who have been shortlisted will be guests at the glittering awards ceremony which will be hosted by BBC’s Wendy Austin.

To nominate your leading lady send your nomination in no more than 200 words to either womanoftheyear@belfasttelegraph.co.uk or post your entries to Woman of the Year, The Belfast Telegraph, 124 Royal Avenue, Belfast, BT1 1EB.
