See Ballysally through the camera lens

“THROUGH The Lens: Neighbours” is a digital photography project, arranged by the Workers’ Educational Association, in partnership with Focus on Family, Ballysally.

The project is looking for people to take part in a short series of workshops from the beginning of September.

Residents from the Ballysally estate and the wider community in Coleraine will be set the challenge of taking a series of photographs which demonstrate their understanding of diversity, equality and respect in their neighbourhoods.

These themes, together with the basics of digital photography, will be addressed in the sessions.

The process will conclude with a series of photographic images displayed in an exhibition in Focus on Family as well as a digital version which will be seen on partner and funder websites.

This project has received financial support from OFMDFM and Coleraine Borough Council and would not happen without their assistance.

No previous experience of digital photography is needed but you will be asked to bring your own camera (or camera phone) and be willing to experiment.

Sessions take place in Focus on Family, Ballysally on September 4, 11, 18 and October 2.
