See Status Quo’s drummer in action at The Anchor

Calling all status Quo fans.

The Anchor in Portstewart is giving Quo fans the chance to jam with drummer Jeff Rich this Thursday.

The well-known muscian will be staying in the venue this week.

Jeff played with Status Quo for 16 years touring all over the world and recording 14 albums with the band.

He played in some memorable concerts including two gigs at Knebworth in front of 250,000 people, one with Queen and the other with a multitude of famous bands including Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Tears for Fears.

He played also played two shows with Queen at Wembley Stadium.

Jeff decided to leave the band a few years ago to concentrate more on the workshops and also to spend more time with his wife and baby daughter.

He enjoyed the whole experience of playing with the band and is in constant contact with the boys.

As part of his visit to Northern Ireland he’ll be performing drum master classes in several local schools.

A number of local musicans will join Jeff on stage this Thursday in the Promenade venue.

This is an opportunity for local Status Quo fans to see the man in action, and the good news is admission is free.
