Causeway Volunteer Centre was out and about on St. Valentine’s Day handing out heart-shaped lollies to ‘share the love’.

They were encouraging people to consider volunteering in their local communities.

They also handed out leaflets and flyers to community organisations, businesses and charity shops telling them all about the work that they do and how volunteers could become involved in the area.

Stephanie Grundon, who works in volunteer recruitment and placements for Causeway Volunteer Centre, said: “Volunteering is one of the best ways of increasing your self-confidence by allowing you to meet new people, take part in local community activities and discover new talents. We take a personal approach to placing volunteers in an organisation that is suited you and your needs.”

If you would like more information about volunteering or the opportunities available please get in touch on 028 703 58285 or email volunteer@causewayvc.org. Visit the Centre’s website www.causewayvc.org or our Facebook page.
