As part of Asda’s UK wide support of Breast Cancer Care’s annual fundraising campaign, #Strawberry Tea, Sheila Palmer, Asda Coleraine Community Champion hosted an event at Vineyard Compassion’s community drop-in ‘The Open Door’ Vineyard Centre at Causeway Coast Church.
Sheila explains: “The money raised through Strawberry Teas makes a real difference to people affected by breast cancer.
“ The guests at the Open Door Café had a great morning of games, tea and of course cake – all while raising money for Breast Cancer Care.”
Mandy Forgrave from Vineyard Compassion said: “The Open Door Café is exactly as the name suggests! Open to all members of the community, the café provides a valuable space for local people to socialise and get information on how we can help through our range of outreach programmes.
“It was a privilege to hold a Breast Cancer Care Strawberry Tea at the Open Door Cafe. I know that all the guests and volunteers had terrific fun, and were delighted to help raise money for such a worthy cause.”
