The Portrush RNLI branch and the Alzheimer’s Society are to benefit from a glittering Strictly Come Dancing event in the Magherabuoy House Hotel in Portrush on Saturday, September 20.

Compered by BBC weatherman Barra Best, seven brave couples will step out on the floor and compete to win the coveted glitter ball.

The couples participating are UTV’s Sarah Travers (with tutor Gerald McQuilken), Causeway Enterprise Agency’s Leo Mullan (tutor Margaret Brownlow), Ballymoney hairdresser Jonny Donnelly (tutor Victoria Lagan), estate agent Barry Torrens (tutor Brenda Tosh), Local Women’s Kim Kelly (tutor Leroy Dempster), Head of Irish Craft business, Ross Adams (tutor Olivia Hayes) and Portrush’s Maureen Roddy (tutor William Thompson).

The dancers will tackle a variety of styles from jive to paso doble and much more, all organised by Gerald McQuilken of Stepping Out Dance Company.

Tickets are priced at £15 and are available from the Magherabuoy House Hotel.

Ticket price includes refreshments on arrival.
