JOIN a National Trust warden this Saturday for a fantastic opportunity to explore the 6000 year old ecosystem right on your own doorstep.
A warden will guide you through the dunes and show you first hand the new growth taking place within the ancient dune system of Portstewart Strand between 2pm and 4pm.
With it being a late Spring dog violets and purple orchids are among the flora that can be seen.
Walkers will be able to examine first hand the aftermath of last month’s dune fires and find out about the regeneration process of the dunes throughout the rest of the year.
Afterwards everyone is invited to take a browse through the newly refurbished visitor centre and enjoy a hot drink. A great day out for all the family. Booking is essential. The cost is adult £2, child £1. Please contact 028 70836396.
