Titanic the Musical to set ‘sale’ NOW

DUE to the increasing enquiries from the public for tickets to experience the moving masterpiece “Titanic the Musical” by Portrush Music Society in April next year, the Riverside Theatre in Coleraine have now opened their advanced bookings to cope with the demand.

The show opens with a specially priced preview night on Thursday 12th April, 2012, with the show running until Saturday 21th April, 2012.

2012 is the centenary of this infamous tragedy where over 1600 people died in the icy waters.

The musical tells the story of the real passengers and crew who were on board that starry night.

On Saturday 14th there is a special Gala Evening performance when the show will start later to coincide with the time on that fateful night on which Titanic hit the iceberg and sank.

These gala night tickets are only available from Portrush Music Society members or by emailing the company secretary at: patricia.armstrong53@gmail.com or info@portrushmusicsociety.co.uk

All other tickets can be booked online at www.riversidetheatre.org.uk , by telephone on 028 70 123 123 or in person at the Riverside Box Office.

Tickets for this fantastic musical are an ideal Christmas present for family and friends and will be an event that everyone should see and be part of especially given the connection the Titanic has with Northern Ireland.

“We are overwhelmed with how many people are already asking for tickets - even from overseas and we expect a sell out for all shows especially the Gala performance.

“We have two matinees for those with families who would like to experience this momentous musical,” said William Thompsom, Chairman of the Society.

“We staged this award-winning musical in 2007 to a sell-out auditorium for seven nights and such was the demand for tickets to see the show we, as a Society, felt that we will stage it again on the centenary week of it sinking.

“Titanic - The Musical’” is one of the biggest cast shows our Society has put on with over 70 members on stage.

“You can imagine with numbers that large how incredible and exhilarating the sound will be. Our cast are from all over the North Coast with people travelling from Belfast to be on stage who are fabulous performers.

“I would strongly advise everyone to book their tickets even at this early stage to avoid disappointment,” he said.
