Foyle ferry to be operational by June 1
The ferry service between Magilligan and Greencastle is to be operational by June 1, the Times can reveal.
Details of the new tender are to be brought before Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council later this month.
Correspondence sent to members of Council confirming the new tender - Rooskey Frazer & Co Ltd - says that that the new service will run from June 1 to September 30 and would see the operator delivering a minimum of three sailings per day.
SDLP councillor Roisin Loftus has welcomed the news.
She said that the ferry service is ‘vital’ to boost our tourist industry.
