Staff and customers of the Lidl Northern Ireland store in Portrush are being encouraged to hop onboard the Cancer Focus Keeping Well van to have their health checked out for free on Monday, January 6 from 9.30am – 4.30pm.
The Cancer Focus Northern Ireland Keeping Well van is a mobile drop-in unit which delivers health checks and cancer awareness sessions directly to workplaces, and sports and community groups across the Province.
Lucia Christy, Project Manager at Lidl NI, said: “To kick start a healthy and happy new year for our staff and customers we have organised for the Keeping Well mobile units to visit 16 of our stores across Northern Ireland throughout January.
“With 22 health check appointments available at each visit, this means more than 350 people can benefit from this service visiting our stores. We’re delighted to bring this service to our stores.
“The health checks available onboard include blood pressure, pulse, blood sugar, carbon monoxide monitoring for smokers and body composition analysis. The sessions are delivered on a one-to-one basis and offer advice on healthier lifestyle choices and information on the early signs and symptoms of various cancers.
Appointments will take approximately 30 minutes and will operate on a first come, first served basis. Please note that appointments cannot be booked in advance.
