Fresher Fayre success: Storey

DUP MLA Mervyn Storey said he was 'delighted' and 'encouraged' by the level of interest for the party at recent Fresher Fayres.

On Wednesday the North Antrim MLA met with many students at University of Ulster Coleraine.

He said: “It was great to meet with students, to talk about the issues that matter to them and to tell them about the work that I do as an elected representative.

The first few weeks at University can be an exciting time for young people. University is a time when you can develop interests, try something new and meet new people.

The DUP is a party which is moving forward and is working to build a stronger, better Northern Ireland. In May our vision was endorsed as we were returned to the Assembly as the largest party. On Wednesday I was heartened to see that my students, who are the future of Northern Ireland, also believe in that vision.

Young people have an important voice and can play a role in helping to drive our vision for Northern Ireland forward.”

Mr Storey added, “If you missed the DUP stand at any of the Fresher Fayres, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.”
