This week is the launch of the fourth ‘Pensioners Parliament’ and recent figures show that 159 people died due to cold homes last year.
The DUP is committed to helping people make their homes warmer.
Coleraine DUP councillor Michelle Knight McQuillan explained: “In many cases, the homes are losing heat due to inefficiency, therefore people are having to spend more money in an attempt to keep warm.
“Our constituency Offices in Garvagh and Coleraine have already assisted many constituents in obtaining both of these schemes and effectively helping them make their homes more efficient which in turn costs less to heat.”
