Zumba your way to the Anchor

Sonya McCandless brings her Zumba classes to the Anchor Complex this Thursday, January 16.

The fully qualified instructor has been teaching in the triangle area now for the past three years.

Sonya has a great knowledge of dance, before becoming a Zumba instructor, she taught Latin dancing with her dance partner for six years.

“Zumba is great as it uses the various Latin rhythms,” tells Sonya. “You can enjoy the music and have fun while burning between 500 and 1000 calories per hour. It’s a great mood lifter and its great for flexibility. It’s a full body workout and particularly good for bringing in your waist and tummy. Any age or fitness level are welcome.”

Sonya’s classes start in Anchor this ThursdAY, January 1 6at 7pm. The cost is £5 per session (£3 for students) or you can buy six sessions for £25 (six for £15 for students)
