THE North West Vintage Motor Cycle Club held its annual general meeting in Coleraine Yacht Club.
Eddie Johnston MBE welcomed members and guest to what was the club's 26th AGM.
Secretary Maureen Patton thanked Eddie and Eddie snr for all their help over the past year.
It was another successful year for the club with attendances very steady
throughout.
The club lost some good members during the year and they look back on their friendship with some great memories.
Treasurer Eddie Johnston snr gave a very concise account of the club's finances and he has to be congratulated for the work he has put into it.
Membership is very good which enables the club to donate to various charities as well as the North West 200 and also to buy the guest speakers gifts as a token of appreciation.
In his report, Vice Chairman John Blair said his job was simple but he was pleased to be in the position and said that he has made many new friends through the club.
The Chairman, Eddie Johnston echoed his sentiments and said that the club is a tremendous success and working with so many people who are so willing to help and work makes his job easy.
He thanked everyone who helped make the club and the social events go so well.
He also thanked everyone who organised events througout the year and who plan to do the same for 2008.
In closing he thanked Stewarty McDonald who helped publicise the club at his stand at the King's Hall.
The election of officers for 2008/09 then took place before the meeting continued with the month's business.
Past events included a run to Dungannon taken by Danny Leighton with a meal in Coagh.
Trevor Scott's run to the coast was enjoyed by all.
Visitors from County Down were delighted to see the Armoy Armada memorial in the village.
The villagers are to be congratulated on the park. A lovely meal was enjoyed by all in the Fullerton Arms, Ballintoy.
Stuart McDonald also led an outing to Castlewellan.
The Wednesday night runs are back in full swing again and the club are also getting ready for the North West 200 Friday night cavalcade.
They are also running their show in the Portstewart Town Hall during race week in a bid to raise funds for the North West and various charities.
Anyone wishing to join the club should come along to Coleraine Yact Club on the third Wednesday of every month. Meetings start at 8.00pm.
