Coleraine trio into World Cup finals in Munich

COLERAINE'S Olympic rowers are all through to the finals of the World Cup in Munich on Sunday.
Alan Campbell, Richard Chambers and Richard Archibald are all taking part in this first competition of the World Cup 2008, held at Munich.

Alan powered home in first place in the semi final of the mens single scull series on Saturday. In the finals at 10.45am on Sunday, he faces Germany, Norway, Czech Republic, Sweden and Swiss competitiors.

In his semi final of the lightweight mens fours, Richard Chambers and his GB crew were clear winners and move on to the A final, at 1.54pm on Sunday.

Richard Archibald and his Ireland crew also reach the final after running a close second to Germany in the semi.

Both Chambers and Archibald are in the same final event

All eyes in Coleraine will now be on the the finals on Sunday.
