The local dairy business, in partnership with the Ulster Sports Trust, will present a cash bursary of £5,000 - currently the biggest funding boost available on an individual basis – to the winner in April.

As last year's winner, Jenna, who has become Ireland's most successful ice skater, knows the difference this Award can make, and is thrilled to find she is in the running to receive the Award for a second year.

In 2007 Jenna surpassed all her previous achievements, making it her most successful year so far. Currently, she is ranked 8th in Europe and 25th in the world, a great improvement from last year when she was 15th in Europe and had no world ranking.

This 'triple axel' jump up the rankings was boosted by her first international senior Gold medal at the Belgium National Championships, taking 8th place at the European Championships with a personal best score, claiming her fifth British Senior title and winning the Bronze in the Ondrej Napal Trophy in Bratislava.

With the season officially over until August, Jenna is looking forward to her wedding in May to fellow ice skater, Kevin Van der Perren (Belgium). A number of international ice skating schools will follow throughout the summer, one of which will take place at Dundonald Ice Bowl in August.

It will be N.Ireland's first international skating school in over 12 years and Jenna's coach, Vera Vandecaveye, will also be involved.

The winner will be announced on April 25th at the Ulster Sports Trust's Award Evening.
