Bronze for Northern Ireland at UK Indoor Tug of War Championships.
THE Northern Ireland Tug of War squad entered an A and B Team in both the closed 600kg and 680kg at the recent UK Tug of War Championships in Wrexham.

Northern Ireland A made it through to the semi finals of both competitions, but lost out in a bronze medal to Scotland A in the 600kg weight, who came first overall.

However, the 680kg competition proved to be the more successful of the two, with both Northern Ireland teams making it through to the semi finals.

Scotland A and England A though, proved too strong and the Northern Ireland teams found themselves up against each other for the bronze medal. After a tough fought tussle between the two, Northern Ireland A came out on top.

Northern Ireland A were made up of Glens of Antrim, Ballyhegan (Armagh), Country Club (Fermanagh) and Richhill (Armagh).

Northern Ireland B were made up of Finvoy (Antrim), Garvagh (L'Derry), and Richill (Armagh).
