The USA's Elite squad was the first of the 54 teams competing in the Milk Cup to arrive in Northern Ireland on Friday ahead of the international youth football tournament.
Tired but happy, the party arrived at Belfast International Airport where they were welcomed by Dr. Mike Johnston, chief executive of the tournament sponsors, the Dairy Council for Northern Ireland.

Dr. Johnston said: "It's great to see the first team touching down for what promises to be a fantastic week of football."

The USA party were then transported to their County Antrim hotel to prepare for an opening game against Northern Ireland at Coleraine Showgrounds on Monday night.

Hot on the Americans' heels were Elite rivals Chile who also landed in Belfast and Hertha Berlin who are newcomers to the competition and will be contesting the Premier event. The Germans flew into Dublin.

Also arriving last night were newcomers Seville and Boavista along with Premier champions Fluminense from Brazil and Otago from New Zealand.

All the teams will fall in behind Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the Welcome Parade through Coleraine town centre tomorrow night, commencing in the Diamond at 7pm.

The Welcome Ceremony follows at The Showgrounds around 7.30pm where the Old Trafford hero will declare the 26th Milk Cup open.
