ST COLUM’S, Portstewart and DH Christie, Coleraine, shared the Doherty Cup after a pulsating final at Coleraine Showgrounds on Friday evening.

In front of 1,400 spectators St Colum’s twice had to come from behind and forced the match into extra time with a superb injury time equaliser from Dara Mooney.

This was a fantastic advert for schools football and both teams deserve great credit for serving up a showpiece which was worthy of the final.
