FOOTBALL: Nine men Bannsiders lose to Portadown

COLERAINE had two men sent off as they slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Portadown in front of the Sky cameras

Kevin Braniff fired a fine opener before Darren Boyce headed Coleraine level.

Paddy McLaughlin of Coleraine was shown a red card as he was the last man when he brought down Jordan Baker who soon afterwards struck the Ports' second.

Then goalkeeper David O'Hare was sent-off on 69 minutes for elbowing Baker in the back after collecting the ball and Gary McCutcheon scored the penalty.

The result takes Portadown above Coleraine on goal difference in the battle to secure a top six finish in the Carling Premiership.
