Coleraine share the spoils with Crumlin

Coleraine Ladies FC were forced to fight back from a goal down to secure a draw, and a valid point, in Division one of the Concentrix Division one on Thursday night.

The Crumlin side arrived late, but it was the local girls who were slow to start, taking 15 minutes to find their stride. The defence found themselves under pressure from the early stages of the game.

Coleraine saw out the first half with the upper hand and the majority of scoring opportunities.

The Ladies began the second half strongly, defending excellently and again creating opportunities on Crumlin goal that they were unable to convert. Special mention goes to Kari Nicholl, Coleraine Keeper, who made an outstanding diving save to deny one of only a handful of chances that Crumlin

had in the second chance.

However, against the run of play, Crumlin were the first to break the deadlock.

After this Coleraine found themselves on the back foot, but continued to create chances, knowing that they would eventually pull a goal back.

Their efforts were rewarded in the 85th Nicholl, who had an excellent game, slotted home with her left foot leaving the final score 1-1
