Do your bit - get involved

Club President Andy Magowan will be heading up a new Fundraising Committee charged with trying to raise funds for the challenge.

Anyone wishing to get involved can contact Andy through the club.

There are a number of other ways though which you can help.

You can join up to Friends of Coleraine. Nevin Oliver (chairman) told Times Sport there had been an increase in members since the challenge was launched.

“We have saw an upturn in applications since the appeal was launched which is fantastic,” he said.

“All money raised goes straight into the bank and is passed on to Coleraine FC when they need it.

“Anyone wishing to sign up can download a form from Coleraine.com or by contacting any of the committee members.”

On Saturday the Friends handed over a cheque for £6,000 to go towards the fund.

Fans can also support the club by joining the Social Club and attending functions.

“We urge all fans to take up membership,” said Ivan Kyle.

“There are several benefits by joining up including reduced prices and priority tickets for major games.

“We have some big events coming up over the next few weeks and we’d encourage fans to come along and support us.

“All the money raised by the Social is put back into the Football Club.”
