Ballinamallard United held on by the skin of their teeth to share the spoils with Coleraine this afternoon.
A super second half display by keeper Fergal Murphy kept the Bannsiders firing line at bay.
The visitors opened the scoring after 15 minute when Eoin Bradley crossed to Gary Browne to shoot home following an excellent counter attack by Oran Kearney’s men from a Mallards’ corner.
Coleraine should have been two up on 20 minutes when Stephen Carson’s cross was met by Gareth Tommons at the back post, but keeper Murphy saved with his legs.
Nine minutes into the second half Ballinamallard levelled when Cathal Beacom’s long range free kick evaded everyone in the six yard box including keeper Drummond before finding the back of the net.
In the closing minutes Ballinamallard keeper Murphy pulled off a string of fine saves as Coleraine peppered the home goal. The point though was enough to move the Bannsiders up to eighth in the table.
