They have now scored 10 in their last three games and the Bannsiders boss is delighted to see the goals being shared about.

“Jamie and Ian are strikers and they’ve changed into wide midfielders and are very good at that,” he said.

“But they are good finishers, Jamie is a class finisher and Parky finished on double figures in his first season.

“We have a real goal threat about the pitch, which is very pleasing.

“It was the perfect start to the second half. No matter what you say at half time, in a game which you dominate so much if it gets to 60 or 65 minutes and it’s still 0-0 those are the games you can get a sucker punch in. Once we got the goal it settled us and we kicked on from that.”

Kearney was also pleased with the performance of his captain Davy Kee.

“He came to us fit but not match fit. The key thing for us was getting him 90 after 90 after 90,” he said. “His progression graph has been improving every week. He was superb against Glentoran and again today. He sometimes goes unrecognised, but he gets through a mountain of work and tackles and it gives us a real platform.
