Joe McNeill has become Coleraine’s fourth signing of the January transfer window.
The Cliftonville midfielder moves to the Bannsiders on loan for the remainder of the season.
Oran Kearney is delighted to have landed McNeill, who also played for Portadown.
“Joe will add a lot to our midfield,” Kearney told Times Sport.
“He had great spells at Portadown and Crumlin Star after returning from America, which earned him a move to Cliftonville.
“It maybe hasn’t turned out as he would have liked at Solitude, but he has the opportunity to get back on track with us.
“He is a hard working player who also has an eye for a goal and I feel he will be a real asset for us in the the second half of the season.
“Joe also has Premiership experience which is a big bonus for us, hopefully he can hit the ground running.
“He can also play in a couple of positions which gives us a number of options.”
McNeill will not be available for selection for this Saturday’s Irish Cup tie against Cliftonville due to the terms of his loan agreement.
Meanwhile Coleraine received a further boost today as Eoin Bradley committed his future to the club.
Bradley confirmed he will miss Derry’s NFL campaign after committing to the Bannsiders for the remainder of the season at least.
“I’m really enjoying it at Coleraine,” said Bradley. “To be fair I didn’t think it would be going as well as it is.
“I signed a deal until the end of May and I’m going to fulfill it as Coleraine have been very good to me.”
