Northern Ireland’s World Cup qualifier against holders Germany on October 11 will be played in Hannover.

The two nations are due to meet in this summer’s Euro 2016 finals in France after being paired in Group C.

Michael O’Neill’s side will face Germany in the return World Cup qualifier in Belfast on October 5, 2017.

O’Neill’s men will kick-off their campaign in the Czech Republic on September 4 before hosting San Marino three days before the Hannover game.

In addition to Germany and the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan and Norway are also in Northern Ireland’s World Cup qualifying group.
