GLENTORAN boss Eddie Patterson has poured cold water on reports linking several of his players with a move away from The Oval.

Andy Waterworth and Sean Ward are two of the players touted for January moves, but speaking after his side’s 1-1 with Coleraine Patterson said it was all speculation.

“There will be no-one leaving this club that I want to stay it is as simple as that,” he said adamantly.

“We are under no pressure to move players on. We are building something here and losing players who have performed so well for us of late certainly wouldn’t be taking us in the right direction.

“If a team is interested in one of our players they will have to speak to us first as they are all under contract. The only player out of contract at the end of the season is Andy Waterworth and Andy has indicated up until now that Glentoran is the place where he wants to be.

“All this talk in the press about players leaving Glentoran Football Club for whatever reason is all speculation as I certainly know nothing about it.”
